High Garden Tea - Haut Toddy

Make the perfect hot toddy…or simply enjoy a wonderful cup of tea! I created the brew when I was craving Hot Toddies but wanted them to be just a bit better for me and my immune system. So, Haut Toddy was born! This brew brings it with Immune system tonics, digestive tonics, warming herbs, and a perfect flavor combo for not just a Hot Toddy, but a Haut Toddy. The tea is so yummy, many folks like to brew this one without the whiskey for its health benefits and warming flavor.

Ingredients:

10 large hand made tea bags {Net Wt: ± 2-2½ oz}

Use 1 tea bag per 16 oz of 195 ºF water. Begin drinking when temperature is comfortable but never remove tea bag.

Please know: Our hand-made tea bags are quite large in order to contain enough herb to offer you the full intended benefit and desired support. Each one may be re-steeped several times throughout the day. The brewed tea may also be saved in the fridge over night and enjoyed chilled the following day!

This is a very fun tea. With whiskey, or free-spirited, this brew brings the warmth and coziness you crave in the cold season. I wanted to am up the simple hot toddy and make something so yummy that it didn’t even need the whiskey if someone prefers no alcohol. I brought in the classic immune system tonic Elderberry and amped its flavor up with the vitamin rich Hibiscus. I then wanted to keep that tart berry flavor going and invited in Sumac berry for its flavor and tonifiying properties really helpful with runny noses. I then wanted to warm it up so who better to call upon than Ginger root. Dried oranges bring a happiness to this brew while lemonbalm adds additional antiviral properties, mood enhancement and relaxation all in one magical leaf. Lemon verbena rounds out the citrus aroma and digestive system love. The brew is not only an immune system tonic but a digestive tonic too by the means of lemon verbena, ginger root, orange peel, lemon peel.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious.  The kraft bags holding our teas are recycled and compostable.  The inner lining is plant based and the outer layer is FDA approved recycled natural Kraft. Tin tie closures need to be removed prior to sending it to compost heap. 

Our unbleached tea bags are sealed with a food grade staple and no chemical sealant.  Each is compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once staple is removed.  They love to return to the earth.  

We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
